Hello, my friends. Let’s get close to know why we designed linear high bay LHB28.
One Germany client asked me in Feb, 2021 if we can provide a customized solution for him.
“Hi, Betty. It is good to hear that there will be the possibility of a damp proof luminaire from AGC.
Please note that we only require 5+2 contacts if the luminaire has DALI. In standard we need 5 pole through wiring.
In general, the upper terminal with two connections is optimal for DALI.
However, due to VDE guidelines, the labelling of the lower terminal cannot be used in this way.
The labelling must be L1 / L2 / N / E. Otherwise there is a risk that the luminaire will be damaged by incorrect connection.
I am looking forward to the final product. The standard for our customers is 5-wire with L1 / L2 / L3. But some also need DALI. ”
Please don’t suspect AGC’s first class ability of our strong R&D team. Two months later, I took the sample LHB28 60W tri proof 5+2 wires, power adjustable as 30%/50%/75%/100% to check with him, in addition, we also designed CCT 3000K/4000K/5000K selection. I shared the photo with simple words and related video with him,
he greatly praised our speed and action, also accepted the solution. But it is a really pity that, finally he hadn’t purchased sample yet and dare not implement agreement on stock order 3,000pcs~5,000pcs one year, maybe under the great pressure of COVID19 spread and generally economy recession. I could fully understand but I was hurt seriously and regretful that I could not protect our team endeavor. No official contract between us and my client. I suddenly realized that it means nothing if no official contract between us and my client.
Any way, it must go on as new product has launched. Fortunately, customized solutions if were proposed by some countries, there must be the same taste in the area.
Not too long, my another Germany client also chose this kind triproof linear light LHB28 and brought PIR sensor optional for parking garage project (fixed CCT, ~30W, big housing, PIR sensor). CCT & Power selectable was perfect for keeping stock.
I offered him a list of 3 customized solution and 2pcs sample for each solution.
- With fixed CCT & Power selectable, non-dimmable, 5 wires, Three Phase Power, linkable, IP65. Is it possible?
- With dimming 0-10V, 7 wires, Three Phase Power, linkable, IP65. Is it possible?
- With dimming 0-10V, 5 wires, Three Phase Power, with microwave / PIR sensor, linkable, IP65. Is it possible?
Our LHB28 can fulfill all of three possibilities.
