What is EcoVadis
EcoVadis is a global leader in assessing and promoting sustainability within supply chains. Established to help business evaluate their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, EcoVadis provides detailed insights into a company’s commitment to responsible operations.
The value of the bronze medal
Achieving the EcoVadis Bronze Medal places our company among the top 35% of organizations assessed globally by EcoVadis.
The EcoVadis rating process
EcoVadis assesses a company's sustainability performance across four key pillars.
Environment: This evaluates a company’s environmental management practices, including energy consumption, emissions, waste management, product lifecycle impacts, and overall environmental footprint.
Ethics: This assesses a company’s business conduct practices, including anti-corruption policies, fair competition, responsible marketing, data privacy protections, and overall business integrity.
Labor & human rights: This area examines employee working conditions, health and safety measures, social dialogue, career management, discrimination policies, and respect for human rights throughout operations.
Sustainable procurement: This focuses on how a company manages its own supply chain, including supplier environmental and social practices, responsible sourcing policies, and efforts to ensure sustainability throughout the entire value chain.
Each company receives individual scores for these four themes, along with an overall sustainability score (ranging from 1 to 100). To qualify for a medal, a company must score at least 30 points in each theme.
Medals are awarded based on a company’s percentile rank at the time of scorecard publication. The four EcoVadis medal categories for 2025 are:
- Platinum – Top 1% (99th percentile and above)
- Gold – Top 5% (95th percentile and above)
- Silver – Top 15% (85th percentile and above)
- Bronze – Top 35% (65th percentile and above)
What’s next?
Earning the EcoVadis Bronze Medal is a proud achievement, but it’s just the beginning of our sustainability journey, it’s a stepping stone. At AGC, we see this recognition as motivation to go further, strengthening our commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
Moving forward, we will strengthen our environmental monitoring systems, expand employee training programs, establish more robust ethical guidelines, and deepen our supplier engagement initiatives. Additionally, we will continue to improve the quality, efficiency, and design of our LED lighting to better meet your needs.
