An Easier Way to Maintain LED Sport Lights

Outdoor lighting fixtures are more demanding to maintain than indoor lighting fixtures, especially the lighting fixtures with high poles, like sport lights. When failure or damage occur, there is a requirement to use bucket truck or lift to maintain the fixtures as they are mounted on poles in the height over 10m in generally. However, not every sport court has bucket truck or lift. In consequence, hiring the tools and technicians is necessary. Except for the unexpected maintenance, a planned maintenance scheme is also critical for preventing failure. Cleaning dust and replacing lenses are common items for maintenance. One-sheet lens design makes it easier to replace and clean.

The key point of maintenance is safety. Therefore, our customer had required an easier way to maintain LED sport lights. Customer wanted a solution to fix the driver box at the bottom of the pole of FL31 LED sport light.

We offered following two solutions.

• Solution a:

Fix the driver box to the ground on the bottom of pole.

• Solution b:

Fix the driver box on the bottom of pole that is 2m higher than ground.
 

From our solution, driver box is installed a the bottom of the pole and there is no need to climb the high light tower for maintenance. Thus, labor cost is saved and safety is improved.
