Where and How to Install?
You may wonder why the product manual says it would take 8 hours to charge, but actually, it took 10hrs or even more. According to our investigation, It may be the problem of the installation position. Please do not install solar lights under the shadow of buildings or trees. Otherwise, it maybe need a longer time to charge. Also, choosing a proper settings based on local solar radiation is also important.
Why did it not work after installation?
First of all, the battery may run out due to a long-time transportation and needs to be charged So, please remember to turn the switch on and ensure the light works well before installation.
What’s more, in daylight, the installer maybe uncertain whether the light works well. Since the solar panel comes together with the photo-cell sensor, which is used to detect sunlight to turn it off immediately, so we can turn the solar panel back to the sunlight to check.
Additionally, putting something on the solar panel sometimes works too. For separated solar lights, you can also disconnect solar panel cables to check. BTW, it’s necessary to check if the battery is charging or not. Take AGC solar lights for example, we can press the “Status”button on remote control to check the battery Voltage.
Last but not least, If it still doesn't work, what should we do?
Most of time, we can narrow down some issues through the working indicator. Meanwhile, we can open the fixture to check each part of the voltage. If the supplier connects incorrect cables or crosses the wrong polarity, it probably causes a short-circuit to the whole system.
How to get best sunlight radiation?
No matter where you install the panels, you’d better ensure optimal solar panel orientation. And adjust the best tilt angle of the solar panel according to your local latitude.
Usually, the separated solar led light will be more flexible than all-in-one to get radiation. If you are unsure of the solar panel orientation, you can try to rely on a compass or compass app.
