What is Human Centric Lighting?

In the past decade, brain scientists have discovered that, in addition to the light patterns transmitted through the optic nerve to the visual center of the brain, there is a branch that transmits non-visual data about lighting conditions to a command center in the brain: the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN). Non-visual light data affects human cortisol and melatonin secretion, not only directly affects human mental state, sleep quality, alertness, but also indirectly affects memory, mood, recovery, behavior, human immunity and regeneration.

HCL (Human Centric Lighting) is the abbreviation of Human Centric Lighting. Changes in light color temperature and illuminance have an impact on our vision, learning, work efficiency, rhythm, rehabilitation and aging, and mood. A thoughtful lighting application should be: at the right time, using the right color temperature and illuminance to make people stay comfortable.

Human Centric Lighting is the intelligent lighting that can determine the "right" time and give the "right" color temperature and illuminance.

And What is Tuya Smart Control?

Tuya is an intelligent control Cloud Platform and System which combines with 0/1-10V, Bluetooth, Zigbee, DALI and is compatible with multiple sensors and other control systems/protocols as well.

Tuya has deeply cooperated with UL, KUMUX on Human Centric Lighting. Relying on KUMUX human centric lighting algorithm, and based on light environment control to achieve real-time lighting switch on/off, brightness, color temperature, RGB color adjustment according to different geographical locations, seasonal climate, time, schedule and other conditions, providing a great lighting experience complied with end-users’ human physiological perception and psychological comfort.

So How Our Tuya-Control HB44 Can Improve Your Facilities’ Productivity?

Well, HB44 utilizes a patented LED Driver of our own with double output for Wattage, brightness and CCT adjustment through Tuya wireless control by its smart module.

Using either Tuya’s smart phone APP or Tuya background system, you can easily group and set various lighting scenes with specific brightness and CCT according to different time periods of a day.

Take below picture of large factory/warehouse for example, normally the lighting fixtures people used are mostly Single-Wattage and Single-CCT highbays, in some cases may be with motion sensors or PIR sensors, some other cases may be using DALI. But never would them be so comprehensively functional as HB44 which is with Wattage, brightness, CCT adjustment, Bluetooth&Tuya control, and is compatible with sensors, DALI system as well.

Under one single brightness and one single CCT, workers are easily to feel uncomfortable and tired as time passes because it does not conform with human biorhythm, thus will reduce productivity.

While if you are able to pre-set a right brightness and CCT for real-time auto change in different time periods, then the problem will be settled. Not only will you have happier employees, but also receive higher productivity as a result in the end.
