What is ISO12944

ISO 12944 is the global standard for corrosion protection of steel structures using protective paint systems. First released in 1998, it was developed by experts from various countries and companies to establish a comprehensive guideline for safeguarding steel structures.

This standard is essential for architects, engineers, specifiers, and applicators, providing detailed instructions on selecting and applying coatings. It consists of nine parts, addressing environmental classification, protective paint systems, laboratory test methods, and specific systems and tests for offshore structures.

Which level is suitable for your projects?

The ISO12944 has been updated to the edition 2018, there are some significant changes to the latest standard, you can see from the below table to check which level is the most suitable for you.
